Let’s be real, we never expected a midnight research spiral to lead to a conservation mission.
But that’s exactly how this all started.
It was late. I was doing what creative brains do best: scrolling, imagining, and planning out new designs. I knew I wanted to create an October ear cuff that felt special, something seasonal but meaningful, elegant but a little edgy.
That’s when I found them.
The Florida Bonneted Bat, one of the rarest mammals in North America, with fewer than 1,000 left in the wild. They’re found only here in Florida. They have the squishiest little gremlin faces, these folded “bonnet” ears that look straight out of a fantasy novel, and they echolocate in a way that humans can actually hear.
I fell in love. And I got mad that no one talks about them.
Introducing: The Bonneted Bat October Drop
So we created the Florida Bonneted Bat ear cuff — a tribute to a bat that deserves to be seen, heard, and fiercely protected.

100% of October Proceeds Go to Bat Conservation
When our first Bonneted Bat cuff sold, we were floored. Someone out there had seen our little fantasy bat and decided to support a real-life creature on the edge of extinction.
We were honored. Humbled. Grateful.
And then we found out the most magical detail:
That very customer wanted to dress up as a Florida Bonneted Bat for Halloween.
We couldn’t have scripted it better if we tried.
So we made a decision:
For the entire month of October, 100% of proceeds from every Bonneted Bat ear cuff sold will go directly to conservation efforts for this critically endangered species.
The rest of the year, a portion of proceeds will still be donated, but this month, we’re going all in.
Why These Bats Matter
They’re native only to Florida. You literally can’t find them anywhere else in the world.
They’re pollinators and pest-eaters, playing a vital role in our ecosystem
Their habitat is being lost to development, and their numbers are rapidly declining
Their echolocation is audible to humans, a rare and magical trait
And most Floridians don’t even know they exist.
